It doesn't get much cooler than meeting with complete strangers in the middle of the desert. Okay, so that may sound creepy but this is exactly what happened! I was on the hunt in Las Vegas for a couple willing to stand in front of my camera at this weird little location with these random colorful rocks. I don't know why but when I first discovered the Seven Magic Mountains
all I could think about was making it part of my portfolio! When I got a call from my bff saying 'Vegas Baby!" I knew this was the time! On the day of my arrival in to LAS, I headed straight to the magic mountains. My plan was to hang around and wait for a couple to arrive and ask if they they had a half hour to spare for a quick photoshoot. Just my luck though....not a single couple arrived! Ugh! The only couple I did spot turned out to be cousins. "Uhhhh yeah that's not going to work huh?" I said after asking them if they were a couple. I was bummed.
I sat on it for a day and told myself it wasn't that big of a deal. So what if I didn't get it in my portfolio right? But my heart hurt. I couldn't get it off my mind. So I went on a hunt. A social media hunt! I blasted an announcement on all my platforms calling for any willing couples in Las Vegas available to help build my portfolio in the short two days I had left. This is the story of how I met Esther and Austin. These two came in clutch! They swopped me up at my casino, drove me out to the desert and laughed their way through the entire session! They were patient and willing to take any creative advice I threw at them. It was an early Saturday morning in sleepy hung over Las Vegas and we were out there creating magic! (See what I did there? Seven MAGIC mountains). Not funny? Okay...moving along!
Esther & Austin, You two are amazing individuals with so much spunk and spontaneity! Thank you for fulfilling one of my simplest dreams! I am so blessed to have photographed you in this special location. I know for a fact that I couldn't have asked for a better couple to share this moment with. You two rock!!! (Yes the pun was intended)!
